Christian Citizens!

 

I am so proud of Charlotte and Camille.  They are killin' it in Second Grade!!  All straight A's for the first two quarters, and it's hard to believe we are on to the 3rd Quarter and over halfway through the school year!  They BOTH were recognized by their teachers as being very kind and helpful to others.  And they BOTH received the Christian Citizen Award for their classroom for the Second Quarter!!  Camille's teacher wrote on her report card that "she is always the first to volunteer and the first to say thank you!"  Charlotte's teacher wrote maybe the best thing I've ever read and I will forever remember this because it truly does describe Charlotte perfectly:  "Charlotte, you are so kind and gentle and yet you have the strength to know what is right and to do it.  Thank you for being a positive example to others."   Love my sweet sweet girls.  No mean girls here!!  (At least to classmates!  Siblings/cousins is another story!)  Which is good, because this mama really dislikes a bully!  They also both got picked by the S.T.E.A.M. lab teacher (Science & Technology interpreted through

Engineering & the Arts, all based in Mathematical elements)  as Makers of the Month for their classes, so they got to go in on a Saturday to the S.T.E.A.M. lab to make slime and cardboard house thingies?!  They are having a great year so far!
