Charlotte was a little more cautious at first.  She was a little overwhelmed by everything initially, I think.

So here's where it got interesting.  Charlotte did great at the scrimmage and went after the ball even though she didn't really understand how to get it away from someone.  And half the time they were kicking it in the wrong direction.  But Camille, however, was super possessive of HER ball.  As in, no one else can use it.  Lord forbid they actually throw it into the game and someone else gets it from her.  In which case, she stops dead in her tracks and puts her head in her hands.  Over and over again.

Camille kicking away at HER ball ...meanwhile, the ball that is actually in PLAY is the blue one in the corner of the photo.  So we had to explain the whole concept of soccer to her in the car on the way home.  She thought she could just raise her hand and have the ball thrown to her, and then she could play with it without any interference.   Yeah, that's not exactly how it works!!! haha

The conversation ends with Camille asking:  "So, it's okay to SNATCH?!"  (Snatching things away from another is a big no-no in our house and she was dumbfounded that this might be ok).  Yes, in soccer, you can snatch (but not from your own teammate -- I can tell that concept also went over their heads!)  We will see how it goes next week!  They are VERY good at taking things away from each other so I have some hope :)
