The girls played basketball this winter and I cannot say enough good things about the Upward Basketball program! They had a ton of fun even though they were mostly clueless! It was pretty fun to watch :) They were playing on a K5-6 team that was co-ed, and they were some of only a few girls in the league. I thought this might bother them, especially when they realized most the girls their age were doing the Upward cheerleading, but they didn't seem to care in the least! The whole concept of offense/defense was pretty lost on them for much of the season, but towards the end they were getting aggressive and getting after that ball!
